The Craft Centre makes an ideal starting and finishing point for many of the local walks around the lakes, in the woodlands and along the side of the canal.

As the map below shows there are a number of short and medium length walks in the area through a variety of habitats, where many species of plants, animals, birds, fish and insects can be seen all within a peaceful and picturesque setting.

The lakes and the local footpaths are there for all of us to enjoy the richness of the surroundings and wildlife in this historic area as well as providing a relaxing and quiet environment.

Please help us to preserve the natural beauty of this place by not leaving litter, keep your rubbish with you until you find a bin to dispose of it.

If you are using the Craft Centre for a base please remember that the gate to the car park is usually locked at approximately 5.00pm most evenings.
